He states"...We have established that there was a human presence at that location about 13,000 or 14,000 years ago. Making it one of the oldest terrestrial, that is to say non-water submerged localities, in the entire American southeast and certainly one of the oldest in Florida by a substantial margin...."
"....There is a buried soil surface there that's over 19,000 years old. If, as it has in the Chesapeake Bay, it produces cultural material, this will be one of the oldest locations in all of North or South America...."
